Nasty spyware

After working on Randy's computer for 4 days I finally found this spyware that 3 virus protectors and 6 spyware detectors could not find, let alone remove and I found it by careful inspection of the .sys files.. only a geek will appreciate that!... The symptoms were a new IE browser being spawned and trying to connect, but nothing in the address bar.. this happened like every couple of minutes. I ran a packet sniffer and could see 2 packets being sent to www.i-n-t-e-r-n-e-t.com
But the only thing showing up in the process tree was IE..
The spyware was sending info about his computer but I couldn't find the fucking object responsible for the spawned browser... till now....
c: \windows\system32\drivers\core.sys and core.cache.dsk
If you have these files in your system delete them!!
It took me 4 days to track this fucker down.. and all is well with the system : )
Hope this helps someone one day...
